Home learning guidance
We have looked at the best way of delivering Maths which is consistent with the way we teach maths at Hotham. White Rose have now released daily maths lessons which include a taught illustration, an activity and the answers to go through with your children.
These have been set by teachers as a daily activity starting next week, but if you want to start now there are activities available follow this link: https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/
It is always good to warm up of quick Xs tables and number bonds. Over the next couple of weeks we will be creating a school maths resources for those children who want to do more than a daily maths task.
We like these because they are really manageable and language rich.
Another daily activity Years 3-6: https://corbettmaths.com/5-a-day/primary/
The children can pick either Bronze (Yrs3/4) Silver (Yrs4/5) Gold (Yrs5/6) Platinum (Yrs5/6) The year group guidance is rough so you may dip into any of the colours - or do one for a warm up, another for a challenge. These are worksheets, however they do not need printing. here are one a day - but a huge back catalogue if you want more. Answers are also provided for you to mark it alongside your child or for them to mark their own.
