Reception Admissions

At Hotham we have 60 available places for children entering our school in Reception.

Children are admitted into Reception in the Autumn Term of the school year in which they have their 5th birthday.

All applicants for a Reception place must list Hotham on their Local Authority online or paper application form.

The admission criteria and priority order for reception is:

  1. Children looked after and those who cease to be children looked after because they were adopted, or because they became subject of a residence order or a special guardianship order;

  2. Children with a professionally supported exceptional medical need or exceptional social need for a place at Hotham as decided by the Director of Wandsworth Children Services;

  3. Siblings (children with a sister or brother attending school at their time of entry);

  4. Children of staff employed directly at the school (conditions apply);

  5. Straight line distance from home to school.

Where parents are not successful in securing a place at Hotham, they will be placed on a waiting list. This list is managed by Wandsworth Council, and places are offered to parents on the list as and when they become available, in order of admissions criteria.

For further information on admissions and application forms, please see Wandsworth Council website - http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissions/
