The Annexe Appeal
Fundraising Campaign 2026-2027
A New Centre for the Arts
Our vision is to transform our redundant annexe block into a vibrant new centre dedicated to art, music and dance.
During the school day it will enrich learning, nurture creativity and support wellbeing with an art and design innovation studio on the ground floor and a dance and music studio upstairs; beyond the school day it will open its doors to families, local clubs and community groups.
As well as providing a much needed local resource, it will help our school achieve its vision of providing limitless opportunities for every child to aspire and succeed.
The Annexe Block
The annexe block was built at the same time as the school in 1908. Over the last century it has served a number of purposes, including as a housewifery block, supporting adult education and providing storage.
Its location within the school grounds but set away from the main school building makes it ideal as a centre of inspiration, providing a connection to the wider school but also a freedom to let loose and create.
It is now time to give the building a much needed new lease of life, and secure its future for the next century.
Our Campaign
To refurbish and equip our new building, we are aiming to fundraise a total of £150,000 from a number of sources. These funds will be used to:
Fully weatherproof and secure the building
Upgrade the electrics and heating
Remodel the internal rooms
Install toilet facilities
Purchase new furniture and equipment.
All funds raised will be held and overseen by the Hotham School Fund, which is a registered charity (no. 1213653). The Fund has already secured £50,000, and we aim to raise £50,000 through grants, and the remaining £50,000 through our fundraising campaign. This project can only get off the ground with your support; see how you can help overleaf.
Help us reach £50,000 by September 2026
Play a unique part in transforming 115 years of history into a creative future for every child. The project can only be completed with your support.
